iPhone 16 displays (rumours)
As per South Korean media outlet Naver, relevant supply chain sources believe the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus could sport 6.12-inch and 6.69-inch LTPS 60Hz displays respectively. So, that would be similar display dimensions as the regular iPhone 15 models. The only bit of difference could be in the use of some elements, the details of which are unclear at the moment.
Meanwhile, the real difference rumoured is in the Pro models. Apple iPhone 16 Pro could get a 6.27-inch LTPO panel and the Pro Max (Ultra) could get a 6.86-inch LTPO screen. For comparison, the iPhone 15 Pro has a 6.1-inch screen and the iPhone 15 Pro Max has got a 6.7-inch panel.
Now, this iPhone 16 Pro Max screen size claim seems too big to be true.
iPhone 16 Pro battery (leak)In a separate leak by Kosutami San on X.com, we see the alleged iPhone 16 Pro battery prototype’s photos.
If the leak turns out to be true, the iPhone 16 Pro models at least could switch from black foil casing to metallic casing on their batteries. This could lend better thermal efficiency without much difference in weight. We have already seen this transition in the Apple Watches starting Series 7.
Speaking of thermal optimisation, all iPhone 16 models are said to feature graphene heat sinks inside. Thanks to better heat conductivity properties, it could improve heat dissipation on the forthcoming iPhones.
